Seattle, Washington

I just got back from a three-day trip to Seattle, WA. It was an absolutely beautiful and inspiring place that has so much to see and do. A few friends and I decided on the trip a few months ago randomly and showed up without a game plan or expectations. Our plan, or lack of plan, turned out perfectly. We were able to see a ton and explore Seattle at our own pace. Check out my recommendations here!

Day One:
-Pikes Place Market – Amazing! I could sit there sipping coffee and eating scones all day and just people watch. Beautiful bouquets of flowers for $5, the first Starbucks, fish throwing, fresh produce. It was definitely a favorite of mine.

-Space Needle – A lady gave us free tickets, good juju. It was really neat to see the entire city especially a great view of Mount Rainier in the distance. The next time I visit I would love to make the hike up!

-Jimi Hendrix Gravesite – It was about 20 min from the heart of the city but we had the nicest Lyft driver that told us all about Seattle and joined us to check out the gravesite.

-Seattle Underground Tour – Super informative. I had no idea how they built a city on top of a city. They also have great stories of a major player of Seattle history, Miss Madame Lou.
Day Two:

-Seattle Bike Tour of Bainbridge Island – This was the most amazing thing ever! Warning: you need to be in semi-shape to complete the 18-mile ride. It was a beautiful ride all over the island through two small towns and a stop at a local bakery for a treat and to check out a local farmers market. Highly recommend!!
